SANDRA LUCÍA CASTAÑEDA

Sandra Lucía is a multidisciplinary artist, from Bogotá, Colombia, based in Minneapolis, MN, USA. Her work blends scholarly research and artistic practice to explore identity, perception, cultural memory, and social structures. Specializing in mixed media, photography, and multimedia installations, she is a founding member of Prifmata Collective, a collective focused on collaborative and experimental artistic practices.

Her academic work combines critical analysis with artistic insight, including essays and conference contributions on visual culture, pedagogy, and Latin American literature. She holds an MS in Spanish, an MA in History, and Master’s studies in Philosophy, complemented by a Bachelor in Education in History and Philosophy.

In her artistic practice, Sandra investigates existential themes—life, death, and identity—while engaging with cultural memory and human perception.
